Vogue Social Club, Keith Street, Hamilton

The Vogue Social Club, located on Keith Street in Hamilton, was opened in 1921 and features an Art Deco classical style with Italianate elements. The building is constructed of brick and white faience, with marble steps leading to a symmetrical front. A broad tripartite portico is flanked by low towers, featuring two Corinthianesque columns with palm-tree shafts set between two rectangular piers adorned with beaded panels. The central name panel is located in the crosswork parapet.

There are three doors divided by anta within an architrave frame, and windows are positioned in the outer bays. The towers are pilastered, with outer doors also framed in architraves, and they have bipartite windows above, leading to recessed open top stages topped with broad-eaved pyramidal roofs. Inside, the auditorium is well-preserved, featuring pilasters and a segmentally coffered ceiling, along with a gallery. The stage was blocked off in the mid-1970s, and there is a richly architraved segmental proscenium arch with a central cartouche.
