Description

These stables, built around 1869 by William Leiper, were constructed for J M Little. They are a symmetrical, single-storey block arranged in a U-shape. The stables are built of coursed rubble with sandstone dressings. The central range features a large arched doorway accentuated by raised quoins, topped by a gablet containing a clock. The wing ends are gabled with open eaves, and the roof is slate-covered. The building has short chimney stacks with moulded copes. The stables form part of a group of buildings of B group value.
