Description

47 High Street in Biggar is a building dating from the late 17th or early 18th century. It has two storeys and is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings. The slate roof features a four-window front and a central chimney with a gablet that includes a single light window, as well as skews and rolled skew putts. The west gable displays similar detailing and has a large stack. At the rear, there is a square stair turret located at the angle with number 51.
