Churchyard, Crosbie Chapel, Monktonhill Road, Troon

Crosbie Chapel, built in 1681, is a roofless chapel-of-ease with a simple rectangular plan, located within a walled enclosure. The structure is made of random rubble sandstone and features polished skews. The south wall has a blocked arched doorway, while the east gablehead contains a square-headed window. The north wall is in a ruinous state. Inside the surrounding churchyard, there are various monuments set into the walls and several gravestones.

The boundary wall surrounding the site is constructed of heavily pointed rubble and has a round-arched coping. At the south entrance, there are polished, banded late 18th century gatepiers that have corbelled cornices beneath a broken pediment. The entrance is completed with decorative wrought-iron gates from the early 20th century.
