Description

Later 19th century. 3-storey, 4-bay tenement with shops at ground floor, forming part of terrace. Polished red ashlar. Shopfront cornice; 2nd floor cill course; eaves course; cornice; balustraded parapet. Pedimented 1st floor openings (segmental to outer bays); additional consoled pilasters to inner bays; cill blocks; consoled pilasters to 2nd floor windows.

SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 4 shops at ground floor; inner entrances to all, glazed timber doors and shop windows (see Notes); regular fenestration at upper floors (tripartite windows to outer bays).

Predominantly timber sash and case windows at upper floors. Grey slate roof; central corniced wallhead stack rising from parapet; gablehead stacks; circular cans.

INTERIORS: not seen 1998.
