Description

Sandsair Pier, Fishery and Jetty, designed by David and Thomas Stevenson in 1853 and built in 1855, features a ramped rubble slipway that runs north-south into Wick of Sandsayre Bay, Leebotten. The deck is squared and snecked, approximately 18 feet wide, with vertically laid masonry on the retaining walls. The structure includes iron bar ties to the ramp and fixed iron mooring and securing rings at regular intervals.
