Description
30 East High Street in Lauder is a pair of two-storey, three-bay terraced cottages built in the earlier 19th century. The exterior is harled with ashlar dressings, featuring architraved openings and projecting sills on the windows.
On the north elevation, which faces the principal street, the arrangement is symmetrical with No 28. It has a central entrance with a replacement boarded timber door, flanked by windows on each floor and one above. No 30 is identical except that its entrance bay is located to the right of center, also featuring a replacement boarded timber door. Both cottages have coped skew putts.
The south elevation has not been inspected since 1998. The east elevation adjoins No 32 East High Street, while the west elevation adjoins No 26 East High Street. No 28 has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, while No 30 has 2-pane timber sash and case windows. They share a harled ridge stack with two band courses and round cans.
The interiors have not been inspected since 1998.
