Description
31 High Street in Jedburgh is an early 19th-century building that incorporates some earlier materials. It is a symmetrical, three-storey, three-bay rendered tenement with a pair of shops on the ground floor, situated on a part corner site where the street line steps back to the left. The building features raised painted ashlar margins and cills. In the center, there are three plain doors leading to the yard and shops, with a glass replacement on the right. The outer windows on the left are square plate glass, vertically divided into three sections. The facade has a simple fascia and a base course, with a return bay to the left that contains single windows on all floors.
The windows are 4-pane plate glass timber sash and case. The building has a broad, harled stack and is covered with grey slates.
