Description

Mid 19th century with later additions and alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay terraced (to SW) tenement with shop at ground. Squared and coursed whinstone with painted polished ashlar dressings and droved ashlar tails; whinstone rubble to NE. Base course, eaves course, long and short quoins, slightly raised margins to openings.

NW (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: modern glazed door with letterbox plate glass fanlight; window at 1st floor above. Enlarged shop window at ground of bay to right, window at 1st floor above. Window at ground and at 1st floor of bay to left.

Modern glazing at 1st floor; plate glass fixed-pane windows at ground. Slate roof with modern skylight to outer right and vents. Modern brick coped stack to NE; mutual ashlar coped stack to SW.

INTERIOR: not seen fully, 1996. Shop interior much altered.
