Main Block, Lees Farm, Kelso Road, Coldstream

Lees Farm's main block is a later 18th century, two-storey steading that has undergone alterations. Originally designed as a four-sided courtyard, it now has a U-shaped plan. The building is constructed of squared rubble with long and short droved ashlar quoins at the angles and openings, topped with a piended slate roof.

On the south elevation, there are full-height wide sliding doors at both the left and right ends. An off-centre segmentally-headed pend is now blocked on the inner wall. To the left of the pend, there is a door and a sash window at ground level, along with two loft windows. To the right of the pend, there are two segmentally-headed cart shed openings, with two additional openings that are blocked and fitted with windows. Above, there are four loft windows.

The west elevation features a tall sliding door on the left and nine blocked openings, which were originally open to the ground but have since been converted into windows.

On the east elevation, there is a loft door raised through the eaves to the left, accompanied by a piended roof. To the right, several doors and windows are blocked, along with blocked skylights and a long ventilator louvre on the roof.

The north elevation has had its courtyard filled by a large modern prefabricated shed.
