Description

Later 18th century, 2-storey steading with alterations.

Originally 4-sided courtyard, now U-plan. Squared rubble with

long and short droved ashlar quoins to angles and openings.

Piended slate roof.

South elevation: full height wide sliding doors to left and

right ends. Off-centre segmentally-headed pend (now blocked

on inner wall). To left of pend is door and sash window at

ground and 2 loft windows. To right of pend are 2

segmentally-headed cart sheds openings and 2 more blocked

with windows. 4 loft windows over. West elevation: tall

sliding door at left and 9 blocked openings, all originally

open to ground but later became windows.

East elevation: loft door raised through eaves to left with

piended roof and several blocked doors and windows to right

with blocked skylights and long ventilator louvre to roof.

North elevation: courtyard filled by vast modern

pre-fabricated shed.
