Description
41 and 43 High Street in Jedburgh is an earlier 19th-century tenement building that stands three stories tall and features four bays. It is constructed from stugged and coursed cream ashlar sandstone. The ground floor accommodates a pair of shops, with a central flush-panelled door leading to the flats above, which is topped by a 2-pane rectangular fanlight. This door is flanked by plate glass display windows and outer deep-set glazed and panelled doors, each with rectangular fanlights, along with a modern fascia.
The upper floors have windows with cills in all bays, and there is a band course above the first floor. A cornice with a blocking course is positioned above. The windows are 4-pane timber sash and case types. The building features a brick stack and is topped with grey slates.
