Description
20 Castlegate in Jedburgh is a pair of terraced houses built in the mid 19th century. The houses are two stories tall with an attic and feature three bays. They are constructed from snecked cream sandstone. Each bay has windows, and there are panelled doors with letterbox fanlights between the bays at ground level, although the right door has been replaced with a modern version. The upper windows are positioned against the eaves. On the left side, there is a piend-roofed timber dormer that is slate-hung. The rear elevation is also regularly arranged with three bays. The windows are fitted with 12-pane sash and case timber glazing, while the dormer has a casement window. The roof is covered with grey slates.
