Description
The building is a square clock-tower with an octagonal stone spire, dating from around 1755. It features a niche that holds a bronze statue of "Habbie Simpson," which was added in 1922. Attached to the clock-tower is a two-storey village hall built in 1782, which has recently been restored. This hall was formerly used as a school and meal-market, and it was constructed by David Kerr Kilbarchan, a master mason.
