Description
The stables at Dupplin Castle were built around 1820 and are designed in a single-storey and loft A-plan style with an ashlar front that has a droved finish. The building features a raised and advanced two-window center with segment-headed windows on the first floor. The wings of the stables end in square pavilions topped with pyramid roofs, which include tripartite windows and lunette tripartite windows on the front. There are arched coach houses leading into the courtyard. A notable feature in the courtyard is an unusual quadrant with a proto-Doric column.
