Description
22 Burrell Square in Crieff is a small tenement building constructed between 1809 and 1810. It is two stories high and features four bays, set at an obtuse angle within an irregular terrace. The exterior is made of coursed rubble with painted margins, complemented by ashlar quoins and quoin strips.
On the northwest elevation, which serves as the entrance, there is a part-glazed timber door with a two-pane fanlight located in the bay to the right of center. To the left of this door is a blocked door, followed by two windows, and to the right, there is another window that has been altered from a door. The first floor has four windows.
The southwest elevation, facing Burrell Square, has three windows on each floor, arranged in a grouping of two and one. There is also a single-storey lean-to bay made of rubble and render on the outer right side.
The building features a 12-pane glazing pattern in replacement timber sash and case windows, and it is topped with grey slates. The chimney stack is made of coped rubble and ashlar, with cans. Additionally, there is a cast-iron downpipe that includes a decorative rainwater hopper.
