Description
72, 74, 76 St John Street in Perth is a late 18th century, three-storey and attic corner building. It features a five-window facade made of painted ashlar, with a three-window wallhead gable. The centre window is arched and blind. The ground floor includes a shop with Edwardian channelled pilasters and segmentally arched pedimented doorways on both fronts. There is a three-window frontage facing South Street. The roof has two piended dormers and is slated, pitched at an angle. On the first floor window facing St John Street, there is a painted inscription referring to the house of the Bishop of Dunkeld, which was located near this site.
