Description
Airleywight House is a two-storey building with a basement and single-storey wings. It features a symmetrical design and has an unusual classical character, highlighted by coarse pilasters on the elevations and lacking an entablature. The northern front is marked by a circular domed Roman Doric porch, which is excellently detailed and flanked by twin domed circular towers. Inside, there is a circular central hall that includes a 'tribune' with a Roman Doric peristyle and a simple ribbed dome with an oculus, dating from around 1810.
