Description

Robert Nicoll's Monument is an obelisk approximately 50 feet high, constructed with 15-inch courses that are alternately rusticated. It was erected in memory of the poet Robert Nicoll, who lived from 1814 to 1837, around the year 1840. The monument was restored, likely completely renewed, in 1902.
