Description
Moneydie Parish Church, built in 1813, features a Gothic design with an unusual three-bay buttressed rectangular plan. The church has a circular crenellated porch at the east end and a squat tower at the west end. The exterior is simply detailed, constructed from squared rubble with droved dressings, and includes later lattice glazing. Inside, the church boasts an interesting layout with a gallery supported by columns featuring cavetto capitals. The original pulpit is striking, equipped with double stairs and tall gablets at the angles of the sounding board. There is some plasterwork decoration on the ceiling and a Joug. The churchyard contains some 18th-century stones.
