Description
The Old Parish Kirk and burial ground in Weem is a T-plan building constructed from rubble, featuring a bellcote on the west side. It has gothic windows in the east and west gables. The south wall contains two doorways: the western doorway is topped with an armorial panel, while the eastern doorway bears an inscription and the date 1609. The building showcases roll mouldings throughout, and there is a southwest skewput dated 'A.M. 1614'.
Inside, the fittings have been removed, but there is a richly sculptured altar monument dedicated to the Menzies family, dated '24 January 1616'. The site also includes hatchments, grave slabs, and other notable fragments. The building was re-roofed around 1935.
