Description

The Steeple on Queen Street in Coupar Angus is a 6-storey tower made of red rubble. It features a pronounced batter and has set-backs at the first and third floors, topped with a slated spire. This tower was built in 1762 through public subscription and served as the prison of the Court of Regality. There have been minor repairs to maintain the stonework, particularly at the base of the windows.
