Description

Coronation Bridge is a suspension footbridge built in 1911 over the River Tummel. It features a commemorative plaque that reads, "THIS BRIDGE WAS ERECTED BY PUBLIC SUBSCRIPTION AND WAS OPENED ON 22ND JUNE 1911, THE CORONATION DAY OF KING GEORGE V." The bridge is supported by slender pylons that are scissor-braced and topped with ball and spike finials. It has lattice parapets with a criss-cross design and a girder span that is suspended from cables.
