Description
Lochlane House is a small mansion built in 1710. The main elevation features four windows and is two storeys high with an attic. The exterior is harled and has chamfered margins. At the center, there is a sculptured gablet that contains a single attic window, and the central doorway is architraved with a pediment that includes a sculpture. The side elevations have two windows each and dormers, while the roof is very high with twin chimneys. In front of the house, there is a small forecourt enclosed by a low wall and panelled piers topped with ball finials. Inside, the house is almost entirely panelled and is exceptionally complete. There was a small addition made around 1920, which included a new doorway and general repairs. Nearby, there is an 18th-century sundial of the baluster type.
