Description
The Walled Garden at Pitkellony House likely dates from the mid-18th century, with extensions added in the 19th century. It features a large rectangular layout surrounded by walls. The earliest walls are made of rubble, which is heavily pointed and lined to resemble ashlar, with a worn droved ashlar band at the top and gablet coping. To the east, there are flat-coped, stepped rubble walls, while the northwest side has a brick-lined semicircular-coped rubble wall that is raised over a lean-to greenhouse on the south elevation. Additionally, there are early beech hedge divisions to the southeast.
