Description
North Lodge at Innes House is a baronial-style gatehouse built in 1872 by A Marshall Mackenzie. This three-storey structure features a round-arched carriage entrance beneath a two-storey oriel, all framed by a crowstepped gabled front. The building is constructed of tooled rubble with polished ashlar dressings. The flanking doorways are adorned with cornices and scrolled pediments that have cartouches at the center. To the left, there is a circular conical-roofed stairtower set in a re-entrant, along with a recessed two-storey, one-bay wing that has a steeply pedimented dormer head at the first floor and a crowstepped gable. The building also includes corniced stacks and slate roofs.
