Description
The Walled Garden at Innes House, designed by Walker and Duncan in 1916, is located to the west and south of the house, with a small portion on the east flank. It is constructed of rubble. Within the garden, there is a conical-roofed summerhouse that is open to the east and features timber columns incorporated into the west wall.
At the entrance to the house, there is a 17th-century sundial aligned with the axis of the entrance. This sundial is a polygonal multi-faceted block with dials, supported by an early 20th-century scroll-bracketed shaft that stands on a stepped circular plinth.
Mark's Garden is situated to the north-east of the main garden and features a lower wall that connects to the main garden. It includes gatepiers topped with torch-like finials and wrought-iron gates. In the north wall, there is a sculptured shrine designed by Sir Robert Lorimer, which incorporates a stoup beneath an inscription and a low-relief cherub's head surmounted by a cross.
