Description
Leuchars House is an early 19th-century building featuring a low two-storey range that is fronted by a mid-19th-century two-storey, L-plan house designed in the style of Thomas Mackenzie from Elgin. The structure is built of rubble with ashlar dressings. The entrance is located in a re-entrant square parapetted porch. To the right, there is a rectangular projecting three-light window on the ground floor, with a round-headed tripartite window above it. The house has a trellissed verandah and primarily features two- and lying-pane glazing. There is an additional entrance in the re-entrant angle of the rear and front buildings. The roof is slate and is complemented by tall clustered stacks.
