Description

Calcots Bridge is a two-span bridge built in the later 18th century. It features a construction of rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The bridge has a pair of segmental tooled ashlar arch rings that spring from wide end abutments, along with triangular tooled ashlar cutwaters. Each center spandrel has a blind oculus. There is a low concrete cope with metal railings added around 1970. The approximate span of each arch is 45 feet.
