Description

The Column at Aberlour House was designed by William Robertson and built between 1838 and 1839, with a rebuild in 1888. It stands 60 to 65 feet high and is made of ashlar granite. The column features a square plinth with an inscription and a stepped base. At the top, it supports a heraldic beast that is clasping an iron staff, which has an iron pennant pierced by the letter F.
