Description
Tugnet Cottage, built around 1800 with later alterations, is a south-facing, two-storey, three-bay cottage. It features rubble construction with tooled rubble dressings. The entrance is located in the center, and the outer first-floor windows were raised in the late 19th century, complete with piended dormerheads. There is a small center first-floor window, and single ground and first-floor windows are present in the east gable, all with four-pane glazing. The cottage has coped end stacks and slate roofs, along with later lean-to additions at the rear.
At the back of the cottage, there is a single-storey L-plan steading, constructed from harl pointed rubble and topped with a corrugated iron roof that replaced the former thatch.
