Description
11 East Street in Fochabers is a pair of cottages built between 1870 and 1880. They face west and are single storey with an attic, featuring two bays. The cottages are constructed from mixed rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The entrances are located at the rear. Each house front has two bracketed corniced windows, although in No 9, one window has been modernized into a four-pane bipartite design. There is a single blind window on each return gable, and two dormer windows protrude from the wallhead. Above a continuous cill eaves band, there is one first-floor window in each gable. The cottages have lying-pane glazing, a centrally located coped ridge stack, and a slate roof.
