Description

Cottage No. 31 is a traditional, one-and-a-half storey cottage dating to the later 18th century. It is harled (roughcast) and has a skew-gabled roof covered in slate. The roof is punctuated by four gabled dormers, and there are one-storey additions at each end. There is a possibility the cottage was once the Fala Inn. Further information can be found in Hunter’s “Fala and Soutra” on pages 26 and 27.
