Description

Built in 1792, Fala Manse is a traditional two-story and garret building with a 5-bay front. The exterior is harled, with a skew-gabled design and a slated roof featuring piended dormers. Horizontal band courses run along the facade. A gabled hood shelters the front door. A one-story office extension was added in 1831, with further additions made in 1889. References to the building appear in the Old Statistical Account, New Statistical Account, and J Hunter's "Fala and Soutra" from 1891.
