Description

Early 18th century. Single storey, 2-bay rectangular-plan cottage. Coursed, tooled sandstone. Flush door margin; slightly projecting window margins; long and short quoins; eaves course.

SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central doorway, flush margin, replacement framed-and-lined door, modern door furniture, projecting horizontal stone to top left; flanking windows, slightly projecting window margins, eaves course above; long and short quoins to left gable end.

NW ELEVATION: steeply pitched, harled and painted blank gable end; plain stone skews; harled and painted stack, pair of plain cans; modern gate leading to rear of property.

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: modern rectangular single storey extension concealing original elevation, heavy boards to flat roof.

SE ELEVATION: adjoining pair of cottages, shared plain stone skews, rubble stack, stone neck copes, 4 plain cans.

Later 2-pane timber sash and case windows to front, placed close to eaves. Steeply pitched grey slate roof. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 2000.
