Description
The Municipal Buildings in Clyde Square, Greenock, are a four-storey structure built in 1881, designed in a Renaissance style with a mix of architectural features. The building is constructed from ashlar stone and is notable for its extensive sculpture work, including granite columns, atlantes (sculpted figures), and decorative niches. It features a prominent dome-capped tower that rises to a height of 245 feet. The architects responsible for this design are H. & D. Barclay.
