Description

This is a burial ground associated with Kilmuir Old Parish Church, situated near Kilmuir. The burial ground itself is a listed building. It contains a variety of tombs dating from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, characterised by a coped wall. Kilmuir Old Parish Church, designated as Scheduled Monument No. 5466, is excluded from this listing. The listing record and statutory address were updated in 2015; it was previously listed as ‘Kilmuir Old Church and Burial Ground’. A map from 1869, published in 1871 by the Ordnance Survey, depicts the area.
