Description

The Bridge of Wester, built between 1830 and 1835, was designed by Thomas Telford for a bridge at Watten. It features a twin arched structure made of rubble, with dressed rubble segmental arch rings that rise from slender, tooled ashlar triangular cutwaters. The bridge has shallow end buttresses and a dressed rubble parapet cope, along with splayed approaches.
