Description

Findhorn Bridge, designed by engineer Sir Owen Williams and architect Maxwell Ayrton, was completed in 1926. It is a two-span bridge made of shuttered concrete with deep canted abutments that include refuges. The bridge features a high parapet with polygonal openings and a central concrete pier that has an open center and triangular cutwaters that rise to the top of the parapet. An inscription is cast in the center of the parapet, facing the road. Each span of the bridge measures 29.3 meters.
