Description

White Bridge in Clephanton is a long hump-backed bridge built in the mid to late 18th century. It features dressed rubble throughout, with two segmental arch rings of unequal size. The bridge has dressed rubble diagonal masonry that extends the line of the voussoirs, forming spandrels. There is a long approach causeway at the south end, which includes some concrete buttressing. The bridge has low parapets that are slightly splayed at the approaches and stumpy triangular cutwaters.
