Description
Seafield is an early 19th century single-storey and attic house with five symmetrical bays on both the north and south elevations. The house is harled with tooled ashlar margins, some of which have been painted. The central door on the south elevation is currently masked by a later timber porch, which also incorporates a side entrance. The outer bays are slightly advanced, and there are two small, piended dormers centrally positioned.
The north elevation features bowed bays on either side, each containing two windows. Bipartite windows are found in bays two and four. A central projecting bay, housing a bathroom, is also present, along with two later piended dormers. The west return gable has two windows. The windows throughout the house have multi-pane glazing. Wall-head stacks are located on each gable, margined at the west. A pair of ridge stacks rise from a piended slate roof. A later lean-to addition is present at the east gable.
The north elevation of the house faces the estuary and the former main road, the A96. The statutory address is Seafield of Raigmore.
