Description
This is a later 19th-century gate lodge, built as an L-shaped single-story building. It is harled with ashlar stone detailing. The entrance is in the angle where the 'L' meets, sheltered by a semi-circular wooden portico, painted and supported by four painted columns. A canted bay window projects from the gable facing the road, and a bipartite window is set into the same gable facing the drive. Both windows have shaped blind panels above and modern glazing. The lodge has crowsteps, a centre coped ridge stack, and a tiled roof. A modern flat-roofed extension has been added to the rear of the building. The lodge is shown on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey Map from 1903 to 1906.
