Description
Druim Cottage is a pair of later 19th-century single-storey cottages, built at a right angle to each other and forming a T-shaped plan. The cottages are constructed of harl-rendered rubble stone with tooled rubble dressings. Each cottage has a central door, sheltered by a gabletted porch supported by rustic wooden columns. The porches feature decorative bargeboards and pendants. The windows have four panes, and the cottages have decorative gable bargeboards, coped end and ridge stacks, and slate roofs. Druim Cottage is part of a group with Smithy Cottage and the wider landscape of Crask of Aigas. It was formerly a cottage on the Aigas House Estate, and the decorative bargeboards are distinctive to the Aigas Estate.
