Steading, Geddes House

The Walled Garden at Geddes House, built around 1805, is an open square structure that was covered around 1900. It features rubble construction with ashlar margins and has a single storey with a 13-bay south elevation. The central bay is pedimented and includes occuli and a blocked round-arched entrance. The end bays are slightly advanced and have round-arched carriage entrances, while the intervening bays were used for former stables and a dwelling.

At the northeast corner, there is a covered octagonal engine house, and the west elevation includes a pigeon loft with flight holes in a gabled dormer. The north and west elevations have depressed arched cornloft vents, and the building is topped with a piended slate roof. Various new entrances have been added to the west elevation. The large walled garden dates from around 1825. Inside, the dining room features very fine painted wallpaper.
