Description
Culachy House Steading is a mid-19th century cottage featuring a single storey and attic over a raised basement. The building has three bays with a central door and an additional entrance to the raised basement on the east gable. It is constructed from harled rubble. The central door is flanked by gabled dormers in the outer bays, while the rear has three later flat-roofed dormers. The glazing is varied, and there are end stacks. The slate roof has projecting eaves.
The steading range, also from the early to mid-19th century, is a harled single-storey structure with a long, curved east elevation. It has a varied pattern of entrances and windows, including small windows and a segmental-headed gighouse entrance with a single flight hole above in the south gable. There is a ridge stack, and the original thatch roof has been replaced with corrugated iron.
