Description
18 Shore Street in Thurso is a 2-storey house dated 1687, featuring an irregular arrangement of bays on its south-facing street front. The exterior is covered in modern harling. A notable feature is the central drum stair tower, which has a conical roof topped with a cast-iron finial that rises above the ridge, and includes a doorway at its base. There is an additional doorway to the right of the tower. The house has windows of various sizes with multi-pane glazing, and the end stacks have been renewed. The roof is made of Caithness slate. At the rear, there is modern fenestration and a single lean-to porch.
