Description
Ironside is a pair of semi-detached villas designed by W L Carruthers around 1895 in the Arts and Crafts style. The buildings are two stories tall with an attic and feature four uneven bays. The two right bays are slightly set forward and have gables, with the left of these bays showcasing a two-story canted bay window with a bellcast roof. The left bay is also slightly advanced and has a pair of gablets along with a parapetted canted bay window. The villas have mullioned windows with hoodmoulds and are constructed from coursed rubble with a slated roof. There is an altered glazing pattern at No 26.
