Description
65 Argyle Square is a semi-detached pair of two-storey, two-bay houses built around 1840, located on a corner site. The houses are constructed from coursed Caithness stone slabs and feature regular window arrangements at the front, while the rear is more irregular.
The elevation facing Argyle Square has a door on the right, a blocked pend in the center, and a window on the outer right that is shared with the adjacent house at number 63. The northwest side elevation has a blind gable end.
The principal elevation facing Grant Street steps down in height from number 65 and has a half-piended roof. The southwest side elevation features a gable end with a door at ground level.
The interiors were not seen in 2001. The houses have plate glass sash and case windows, grey slate roofs with lead flashing, coped gable stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods.
