Description

This is a circa 1862, two-storey, two-bay house facing south, with a single-storey, single-bay wing projecting to the southwest, creating an L-shaped plan. The entrance is located in the re-entrant angle. The house is constructed of rubble with tooled dressings. It has 12-pane glazing, coped end stacks, and a slate roof. Coped rubble garden walls are also present. A minister was settled at Strathy in 1862. Details about the property are further documented in Ewing’s Annals of the Free Church, volume 2, page 223.
