Description
Steadings at Knock House is a farmhouse from the later 18th century, with repairs carried out by James Gillespie Graham in 1802. The building is finished in white harling and consists of two storeys with three bays, featuring a central door and a later piended porch. There are single-storey buildings at right angles to the main structure, creating a U-shaped courtyard. To the east, there is a three-bay cottage with modern dormers. The ground floor windows are larger than those on the first floor, with 12-pane glazing, and there are end stacks. The roof is slate.
The steading includes a large mid-19th century rubble courtyard steading, with the north range built into the side of the hill. The north and east ranges are two storeys high, while there is a single-storey cart shelter to the west, also with a slate roof.
