Description
Holborn Head Lighthouse and Keeper's House, built in 1862 by David and Thomas Stevenson, is a two-storey, three-bay rectangular building that serves as the Keeper's dwelling. The short tower rises from the southeast end bay of the south-facing structure, featuring a triangular chamfer that leads to an octagonal base for the light drum, which is surrounded by a wallhead parapet with a cast-iron railing. The exterior is harled with contrasting painted margins.
The building has an off-centre entrance on the first floor, flanked by a narrow window, and accessed by a forestair with a rubble balustrade. The rear (north) elevation displays symmetrical fenestration with lying pane glazing, corniced end stacks, and slate roofs. The property is enclosed by a roughly coped whitewashed rubble wall.
